Hi, thank you for being my pen pal. I live in Portland which is in Oregon. My dad says you might not know where that is so it is on the left side of America near the ocean. I like soccer and Minecraft. Do you call it soccer or football? My mom says you call it football which is confusing because we have a different football. Please write back. From Theo
Hi Theo!! We call it football and your football looks really weird sorry. I looked up Portland on the map and it is VERY far away. My mum said our letters travel over 8,000 km which is mad. I also like Minecraft. What is your favourite biome? Mine is the cherry blossom one it is so pretty. I also like drawing and my cat is called Pepper she is ginger. PLEASE write back, Maisie
Hi Maisie. I looked up cherry blossom biome and I agree it is really good. My favourite is probably deep dark because its scary but exciting. We have a cat too called Biscuit he is orange maybe Pepper and Biscuit would be friends. My dad says Portland is famous for rain and coffee. It does rain a lot here. Does it rain in Manchester? My teacher said England is rainy too so maybe we have the same weather. Also I did not know the UK had different countries in it I thought it was just England. My dad explained it. Theo!! It is not rude I always have to explain it. England Scotland Wales and Northern Ireland are all different but also the same. It is complicated even my dad gets confused sometimes. YES it rains SO much in Manchester. My mum says we are basically the same as Portland then haha. I think Pepper and Biscuit would definately be friends because they are both orange cats. Maybe one day they can meet. (joke). For halloween I was a witch and we went trick or treating and got loads of sweets. My favourite was a mini crunchie. Do you have crunchies in America? Hi Maisie. I was a zombie for Halloween and my little sister was a pumpkin she was really cute. We do not have crunchies I looked it up and it is a honeycomb chocolate bar. We have Butterfingers which might be similar? I will ask my mom to try and find a crunchie somewhere. I have a question. My teacher said it gets dark really early in England in winter is that true? It gets dark here around 5pm now and I think that is bad already. Also we are doing a project at school about other countries can I write about Manchester for it? THEO yes you can write about Manchester!! I am so excited. Here are some facts: Manchester has a famous football team called Manchester United (my dad supports them). It rains a lot. There is a big Primark. We have an airport. Oasis are from Manchester which is a band my mum likes. It gets dark here at like 4 o clock now it is SO depressing. My mum said in December it will be dark by half three. That is basically the middle of the afternoon!! Please tell me what you put in your project I want to know. Maisie
